Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026 · Effective: 1 August 2026

1. Who we are

euRoam is a regional data-only eSIM for travel in Europe, a service of Rapid Roam ("Rapid Roam", "we", "us"), a New Zealand business (NZBN 9429048418478, registered address: 501a/15 Union Street, Auckland, New Zealand). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use euroam.co, buy a plan, or install and use the eSIM, and how we handle it.

Because we're based in New Zealand, we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with its own data protection law, section 7 below covers the additional rights that may also apply to you.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use euRoam, we may collect:

  • Order and contact details: email address and any billing details needed to process payment. Card details are handled directly by Stripe - we don't see or store full card numbers.
  • eSIM provisioning data: the device identifier (EID) your phone provides when installing the eSIM profile, needed to issue and activate your plan.
  • Usage data: data consumption against your plan, connection and activation timestamps, and which partner network your eSIM connects to - needed to run the service and show you remaining data.
  • Site analytics: we use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram. These tools work via cookies and similar technologies - see section 8 below.
  • Support correspondence: anything you send us via email or a support form.

We don't share your individual customer details (name, email, billing information) with our eSIM provisioning partner beyond what's needed to issue and route your eSIM connection. Any link we keep between your order and your SIM is used solely for our own record-keeping - for example, to verify SIM ownership when handling troubleshooting requests or refunds.

3. How we use it

To provision and activate your eSIM, process payment, send order and activation confirmations, provide customer support, monitor and maintain service reliability, and meet our legal and tax obligations (including under New Zealand law). We don't sell personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary data with: our payment processor (Stripe) to take payment; our eSIM provisioning/network partner(s) to issue the profile and route your data across partner networks abroad; and infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements.

5. Sending information overseas

Most of the organisations we share data with - our payment processor, eSIM provisioning partner, and the mobile networks your eSIM connects to abroad - are based outside New Zealand. Under the Privacy Act 2020, before we send personal information overseas we need to be satisfied the recipient is subject to comparable privacy safeguards, whether by law, contract, or an equivalent scheme (for example, being bound by the EU/UK GDPR, or by data processing terms we've agreed with them).

6. How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept as long as required for New Zealand tax and accounting purposes. Usage data tied to an expired plan is retained for a limited period for support and dispute purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. To do either, email support@euroam.co. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR/UK GDPR gives you further rights over information we hold about you - including erasure, restricting or objecting to processing, and data portability - and the right to complain to your own country's data protection authority instead of, or as well as, New Zealand's. We'll honour these requests the same way regardless of where you're writing in from.

8. Cookies

euroam.co doesn't currently set any cookies of its own. Once Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel are enabled (see section 2), those tools will set cookies to measure site usage and ad performance. At that point, visitors from the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions where consent is required before non-essential cookies are set will be shown a cookie consent banner before those cookies load.

9. Children

euRoam is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to purchase or use a euRoam plan. If a plan is intended for someone under 18, it must be purchased by a parent or another adult on their behalf.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if how we handle personal information changes, and update the date at the top.

11. Contact
