Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026 · Effective: 1 August 2026
1. Who you're contracting with
euRoam is a service of Rapid Roam ("Rapid Roam", "we", "us"), a New Zealand business (NZBN 9429048418478, registered address: 501a/15 Union Street, Auckland, New Zealand). By buying or using a euRoam eSIM plan, you're entering into a contract with Rapid Roam on these terms. If you're buying on behalf of someone else, you're responsible for making sure they agree too.
2. What euRoam is
euRoam sells data-only eSIM plans covering 31 European countries (see the coverage list on the homepage for the current network partners in each). It's a data connection only - it does not include calls or SMS on the euRoam number, and there is no dedicated phone number attached to the plan.
3. Device compatibility
You're responsible for confirming your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked before buying. If your device turns out to be locked or not eSIM-compatible, you may be eligible for a refund - see our Refund Policy for the details.
4. Orders, payment, and GST
Prices are shown in EUR and charged at checkout through our payment processor. Orders are confirmed by email with your QR code once payment succeeds. Rapid Roam is not currently registered for GST in New Zealand, so GST is not charged on any purchase. This will change once we're required to register (once we cross the relevant turnover threshold), at which point GST will be charged as required by law.
5. Validity and activation
Each plan is valid for 31 days starting from the first moment your device connects to a network in a covered country, and can be purchased up to 180 days in advance of travel. Installing the eSIM profile does not start the clock - only first connection does. Unused data does not carry over once a plan's 31 days end. If a plan hasn't been activated (your device has never connected to a network) within 180 days of purchase, the eSIM profile expires and is no longer eligible for a refund.
6. Fair use
Hotspot/tethering is included, and counts against your plan's data allowance like any other use. We reserve the right to apply reasonable fair-use limits to prevent abuse (for example, commercial resale of the connection), and to suspend a plan used in a way that's clearly outside normal personal travel use.
7. Network availability
euRoam connects to partner mobile networks in each covered country. Which specific partner network your device joins, and whether 4G or 5G is available, can vary by location and isn't guaranteed for any single network named on our coverage list - coverage depends on the partner networks' own infrastructure and reception in your location.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use euRoam for anything illegal, to interfere with the networks we partner with, or to circumvent the fair-use limits above.
9. Your consumer rights
If you're buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits any guarantee or right you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or (if you're outside New Zealand) the mandatory consumer protection law of the country you're buying from - those apply regardless of what these terms say. Rapid Roam will always represent euRoam's coverage, speeds, and pricing accurately, as required under the Fair Trading Act.
10. Liability
Beyond the consumer rights in section 9 above, and to the extent New Zealand law allows us to limit it, Rapid Roam isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from service interruptions, network outages at our partners, or your device's eSIM compatibility.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute not resolved directly with us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand - except where a mandatory consumer protection law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim there instead, which these terms don't override.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
